First day of repairs and servicing...
Ran cleaner through the injectors, welded a new section of exhaust pipe in place, tidied out the boot, put new seals on the rear lights, and started taking the dash apart...
Had to make a length of pipe from a chopped up butane can for the exhaust (had to chop 4 inches out). Unfortunately at the back end there was very little to weld to, and there was a bit of a leak, so it's been bound up in cotton soaked in chemical metal - not ideal, but it'll be good enough for testing things without the noise waking neighbors!
The battery is obviously dodgy, as I had to jumpstart it from a leisure battery again. Also spotted a nasty rusty area on the underside of the bonnet.
Did a bit of cleaning on the engine, and added more oil, so I can identify the source of the oil leak...
